Starting by tomorrow, we will start a new year. Funny while everybody gets excited and is busy arrange a party, I don't feel the same about it. This is an ordinary day just like the other day and years for me are just a number.


The only good thing about it is that I can have another day off.

December always reminds me to rain fall, winter and snow. It represents cold, silent and lonely. But behind them all there is a tiny bit of peace that always makes people who touch it feel warm and be at ease. Paint an empty street covered with snow. Almost dark except a tiny dim light from the street lamps. And slowly, snow falls from above. It is December.


For such a sentimental reason, December is always welcome in the home of my heart.

I used to be an optimistic-positive thinking person, seeing the glass is half-full instead of half-empty but today I feel not sure about it, feeling more pesimistic about tomorrow. Give me a solid, high skill and powerfull team. Give me a break to complete my research. In return, I'll take you jump to the next level. And mark my words:  I'll catch you in surprise.

Wednesday I was off. I took my leave.
Thursday I was off. It was Idul Adha
Friday I was on *sigh*
Saturday I was off. It was weekend.
Sunday I was off *Need not to say*
Monday I was on *haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.. (taking a looooong deep breath)
Tuesday I was off. It was Christmas
And now this morning is raining, streets are empty, most people still on their vacation and Google never stops playing holiday theme in their Doodle and I am on. I know I should be still off today!!!!

Beberapa catatan dari wiken kemarin dan kemarinnya lagi dan kemarin dulu: Pertama saya berhasil memperpanjang sim di mobil sim keliling. Hura. Prosesnya sekitar satu jam saja, antrian sedikit, tanpa calo dan total biaya yang dikeluarkan 104k dengan rincian 100k untuk biaya perpanjang sim yang tanpa kwitansi , 2k beli pulpen untuk mengisi formulir *setelah dipakai, berikan pulpen pada pemohon sim yang lain biar mereka tidak perlu beli. Hitung-hitung beramal 2k*, 2k biaya teh botol untuk merayakan keberhasilan ini. *hura*


Kedua iseng masuk setarbak dan keluar dengan segelas ice blended frapuccino coffe. Setelah melalui satu minggu yang berat termasuk ujian nari balet, bolehlah sesekali manjain diri.


Ketiga kemarin mampir makan gado-gado di Gado-gado Boplo cabang Cassablanca. Tempatnya nyaman, cozy ala resto kelas menengah atas kaum urban. Harganya juga lumayan, gado-gado lontong seporsi besar dihargai 16k. Kalo ingin nasi putih atau lontongnya terpisah harganya beda lagi. Lontongnya besar-besar seperti lontong say.. maksudnya seperti lontong begitu lah. Sayur pembentuk gado-gado sederhana saja: tauge, bayam, kacang panjang, kentang, jagung, seiris daun selada dan setengah butir telur rebus, ditaburi dua-tiga keping emping dan tiga lembar kerupuk udang ukuran kecil. Terlalu sederhana untuk makanan rakyat kecil seharga rakyat besar. Empingnya seharusnya bisa lebih generous dan sayurnya lebih kaya. Kalo ditambah irisan timun dan tomat mestinya bisa lebih mantap. Perkecualian untuk bumbu gado-gadonya yang memang mantap karena dibuat dari kacang mete yang diblender halus. Untuk teman makan kemarin dipilih milkshake strawberry seharga 10k yang ternyata cuma dibuat dari pop ice murahan. Puh, rasanya lebih mirip sirup ketimbang susu kocok. Boleh saja mampir lagi cuma lebih baik pilih-pilih menu.

I can see the group has broken. It is just a good business and nothing lasts forever after all.

You know, even a song can mean anything. You open winamp and load the playlist. Add songs and click the play button. First song goes without you even notice and so as the second one. Now here comes the third song and all of a sudden you stop at once. You are staring blanky and for a second, just a second you are taken away back to yesterday. And you feel like you are completely return there, to that day. A day that means so much.


A moment later you blink your eyes and find your self back to present. There is something flying away inside here, can't see it but can feel it, can't tell what it is but somehow you know exactly what it is. And how you wish you can keep the day in your hands.


Feel the power of memory

MS Access is never intended to be used in a client-server or n-tier typical application. It is lack of locking capability, resource sharing, performance monitoring and has problem with reliability when its size reaches hundred megabytes. Sharing it in a client-server typical application is something that only a fool will do.


If you're looking for a light-weight, easy-to-use, local database for temporary data, have no intention to keep it for years and if it is corrupt you can easily create a new one then MS Access is the answer. If you're requirements are far more beyond it then take a look at RDBMS such as SQL Server or Oracle.
